Metal Slug has been one of my biggest inspirations in pixel art and Artificer is basically my love letter to the series and to Nazca.
It'll be very similar to Metal Slug, a run and gun shoot 'em up platformer with a focus on monstrous bosses to fight and weapon upgrading.

The game will most likely not be very long, following the Metal Slug standard of 5 stages which will be relatively short.

Head needs smoothing out, the body needs some tweaking in the shading and the back tread needs to be finished.Then I can start working on the gun and some animations, though I may work on other stuff before starting those.
